Our contact lens exams and fittings are designed to give you a personalized experience while we find the right fit for your eyes. We’ll think outside the box for you: Dr. Trybulski can create utterly custom contact lenses if your eyes and vision require that special touch.

Custom-Designed Contact Lenses
We can create custom lenses from Bausch + Lomb and CooperVision, specifically tailored to your unique eye shape and vision, helping you find a precise and comfortable fit.
Did you know: Our optometrist may even suggest different types of contact lenses for each of your eyes, if they have vastly different needs.
You may also choose to have a go-to pair of contacts for different seasons to accommodate things like allergy season or dry winter air. We truly take our time to customize your experience and help you find the best lenses for you.
What to Expect During a Contact Lens Exam & Fitting
Contact lens exams are a little bit different from comprehensive eye exams, which focus on evaluating your ocular health and detecting eye diseases. For contacts, we assess your eyes’ suitability for contacts and determine the appropriate type for your prescription, the shape of your cornea, and what’s most comfortable for you.
We’ll also measure your eyes to achieve a precise fit and discuss your lifestyle and preferences to help you choose a great pair of lenses.
Specialty Contact Lenses for Unique Eyes
Our eye care team has helped countless patients find contact lenses that balance comfort and clarity.
We carry and fit a range of specialty contact lenses to suit people with diverse vision needs, including:
- Common refractive errors: Being nearsighted (blurred distance vision), farsighted (blurred near vision), or having astigmatism (blurred vision at various distances).
- Presbyopia: A natural part of aging, presbyopia typically develops in our mid-40s, causing blurred vision at reading distance.
- Dry eyes: This irritating condition can be caused by many factors, but specialty lenses, including sclerals, can help provide dry eye relief.
- Irregularly shaped corneas: Not all corneas are created equal! For some folks, the curve of their eye requires special fittings, shapes, or materials to achieve clear vision.
Whatever your vision needs, our experienced optometrist will carefully evaluate your eyes and recommend a suitable contact lens to provide the clarity you need.
Scleral Lenses
Scleral lenses vault over the cornea, creating a protective layer that shields the eyes from environmental irritants. These lenses can help with clearer vision, increased comfort, and better eye health.
Scleral lenses can be a good option for patients with dry eye, corneal irregularities, or sensitive eyes.
Ortho-k
Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, are contact lenses that temporarily reshape your cornea while you sleep to help improve vision during the day. Ortho-k can eliminate or reduce the need for glasses or traditional contact lenses.
We offer ortho-k for kids and adults with myopia (nearsightedness). Learn more about myopia management for kids.
Aspheric
Aspheric lenses are designed to be thinner and lighter than regular contact lenses, making them a good option for those with strong prescriptions that might otherwise require heavier-weight glasses.
Their unique curve makes aspheric lenses flatter and easier to handle, improving visual clarity and reducing distortion for those with astigmatism or strong prescriptions.
Toric
Toric lenses are specifically designed soft contact lenses used to correct astigmatism.
Astigmatism is a common vision condition where the cornea is not perfectly spherical, resulting in blurred vision at all distances. Toric lenses have a unique shape that compensates for the irregularity of the cornea, providing clearer vision.
Multifocal
Multifocal lenses have multiple prescriptions, allowing you to see more clearly at different distances. They can be helpful for those with complex prescriptions, presbyopia, or other vision conditions.
Hybrid
Hybrid lenses combine the clarity and stability of gas-permeable lenses with the comfort and ease of handling of soft lenses, making them a good option for those with astigmatism or other conditions that can cause irregularly shaped corneas.
